Blog|Small Business, Big World: Our Customers Go Global

The internet has the amazing power to make the world a much smaller place. At the click of a button, we can connect with individuals across the nation or around the world through social media platforms, video conferencing, and yes, even shopping.

It’s even easier now for businesses to attract a global market using the internet. Nearly 60 percent of small businesses have international customers today. That’s more than half! (ROI is one of them!)

ROI Consulting helps many international businesses using Sage 100 to smoothly integrate with third-party systems. The following are examples of our customers who have a global presence.

Vaughan Designs

Lighting and interior design company Vaughan Designs, Inc. was founded over 30 years ago in London. They’ve since expanded to the U.S. with a flagship store in New York City, and additional showrooms across the country and the world. What started as an initiative for stylish and classical lighting has now become a worldwide lighting and interior decorating powerhouse.

The company is currently developing an enhanced shopping experience that is fully integrated using IN-SYNCH, set to roll out to the public in 2018.

EBC Brakes

EBC Brakes headquarters are in the UK. After launching successfully in Europe in the early 80s, EBC Brakes expanded a few years later into the U.S. market. Now EBC is a frontrunner in sport, higher performance, and race brake pads and disc/rotors. The company manufactures in both the UK and the U.S. and offers secure online shopping for customers around the world.

In 2015, EBC Brakes launched their fully integrated ecommerce store. Over the years, the store has been enhanced and expanded. Today, shoppers can find products using three options: UK-based, US-based, and international.

Böker USA

The Böker line began with sabers in the late 1820s in Germany. So successful was their line of tools and cutlery that the Böker brothers emigrated to New York and Canada to expand their business. In 1900, the majority of the production from Böker was shipped to the U.S. Through wars and buyouts, the U.S. branch of Böker has changed hands many times, finally becoming its own again with Böker USA in Denver, Colorado, in 1986. While operating out of the States, Böker USA has countless international partners across Europe, South America, Asia, Africa, Australia, and New Zealand.

Böker launched a high-end, fully integrated Shopware ecommerce store. IN-SYNCH was selected to provide a bi-directional integration of customers and products, in addition to orders and tracking information.

Raymond Weil

Raymond Weil GenèveShopify is a Swiss luxury watchmaker, founded in 1976 in Geneva. It is a family company founded by Raymond Weil, and now managed by Olivier Bernheim and his two sons, Elie and Pierre Bernheim.

Using the Woo Commerce platform, the company launched a U.S. webstore that is fully integrated with the accounting system to offer a very elegant ordering process to the company’s U.S. customers. The platform offers an interactive online support for immediate assistance.  Check out the Musical Repertoire selection!
